—On Nov. 5, ELECTION DAY, there will be a special cybersecurity exercise at the Conference.
Get this. The exercise is described as a large-scale interactive event, with participants from federal, state, county, city government agencies, academia, and industry.
The exercise will simulate a cyber-attack on “critical infrastructure.”

Firstly, it is important to observe that the head of the DHS is Alejandro Mayorkas who is primarily responsible for the influx of migrants into the U.S. via the southern border and whose Secret Service (which his department oversees) grossly failed (or helped to enable) security surrounding the Trump Assassination Attempt of July 13.
CISA, the operational lead for federal cybersecurity and the national coordinator for critical infrastructure security and resilience is directly concerned with election interference matters, recently launching the #Protect2024 initiative whose mission is to:
“Help election officials and election infrastructure stakeholders protect against the cyber, physical, and operational security risks to election infrastructure during the 2024 election cycle.”

In a public notice, the U.S. Capitol Police stated, “EXERCISE: This evening, the United States Capitol Police & our federal partners are conducting a routine training exercise on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol. Please do not be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles and low flying helicopters.”

Recent devastating floods in Spain have resulted in a significant loss of life and widespread destruction. As of November 1, 2024, the death toll has risen to at least 205, making it the deadliest flood-related disaster in Spain’s modern history and the deadliest in Europe since the 1970s.
The floods occurred in the eastern region of Valencia, particularly in the provinces of Valencia, Castellón, and Alicante, after intense rainfall caused by a “gota fria” (a natural weather event characterized by a rapid descent of cold air over warmer waters in the Mediterranean). The heavy rainfall, exacerbated by climate change, led to flash flooding, bursting riverbanks, and catastrophic damage.

In recent days, the region of Valencia in eastern Spain has been hit by the deadliest floods in decades. The disaster has been described as one of the worst storm-related disasters in Europe in over five decades.
It has been widely reported that on Tuesday, a year’s worth of rain fell in just eight hours in parts of the Valencia region, triggering catastrophic flash flooding. The torrential rains caused rivers to burst their banks, sweeping away bridges, railways, and cars and turning village streets into rivers.
The Independent reported that “fresh red weather warnings for rain have prompted fears of further flooding in Spain [today].” But reports from the ground are that there has been no rain and the water has appeared from seemingly nowhere, leading people to question what’s happening.

In May, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a legislative package that included a ban on the sale of lab-grown meat, making Florida the only state in the US where cultivated meat cannot be sold.

At a press conference in Wauchula, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a legislative package (SB 1084) that includes a number of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services priorities. Most controversially, that includes the meat ban and a pre-emption on local regulation of electric vehicle charging stations.
“While the World Economic Forum is telling the world to forgo meat consumption, Florida is increasing meat production, and encouraging residents to continue to consume and enjoy 100% real Florida beef,” a press statement said.
“Today, Florida is fighting back against the global elite’s plan to force the world to eat meat grown in a petri dish or bugs to achieve their authoritarian goals,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Our administration will continue to focus on investing in our local farmers and ranchers, and we will save our beef.”
Florida’s ban on fake “meat,” took effect on 1 July 2024.
Governor DeSantis views the development of lab-made meat as a threat to agriculture, comparable to citrus greening, and believes it is part of a broader conspiracy by elitists to enforce social credit scores and erase farming.
The Governor referred to lab-grown products as “fake meat” and expressed concerns that the creation of protein in petri dishes could lead to the elimination of meat production in the US and worldwide.
The Florida Cattlemen’s Association supported the ban, citing concerns that lab-made meat is an unknown and potentially unsafe substitute for traditional meat.

A Georgia county official died after he collapsed at the state Capitol following testimony he gave during a hearing about a chemical plant fire.
Kenny Johnson, the Rockdale County Soil and Water Conservation District supervisor, testified on Tuesday alongside business owners and leaders frustrated by the fire last month at the BioLab plant in Conyers, 25 miles (40 kilometers) east of Atlanta. In the hours after the fire, hazardous plumes spread into neighboring counties.
According to the Georgia House Democratic Caucus, the 62-year-old Johnson “complained of shortness of breath and subsequently collapsed in the hallway” after the meeting, local news outlets reported. State Rep. Viola Davis, who is a nurse, administered CPR until medical officials arrived and rushed him to Grady Memorial Hospital. He died later that day.
