Local and state authorities evicted the residents due to the homes not meeting building codes. This has caused public outcry and criticism for prioritizing regulations over urgent humanitarian needs. Tents were also not considered suitable for permanent living according to building codes. The controversy highlights the conflict between the Goliath bureaucratic regulations and immediate humanitarian needs.

The Gateway Pundit reported that O’Keefe put FEMA on notice last week that his team is “DEEP on what’s happening in North Carolina” as Hurricane Helene victims sleep in tents in the snow.
“If you’re with FEMA you’re on notice,” O’Keefe said.
O’Keefe released part one of his FEMA invesigation series on Wednesday night 50 days after Hurricane Helene, showcasing the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, including destroyed houses, churches, roads, and poluted streams.

✳ High Court of Kenya suspends Bill Gates’ special privileges and immunity

In an ongoing court case, the High Court of Kenya has suspended special diplomatic privileges and immunities granted to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and its employees.
The privileges were granted by a government order gazetted in October. The negative consequences of this shocking order are far-reaching. They include the erosion of accountability, unequal treatment in the law, damage to national sovereignty, and the mockery of public transparency and participation.
Citing the undermining of the public interest and constitutional principles, the Law Society of Kenya is challenging the order in court. While the court case is ongoing, a judge has temporarily suspended the privileges and immunity granted by the order.
Addressing opposition to Gates’ plans in Kenya, Hinchliffe said, “As we have seen time and again, when the people begin to wake up and rise up against injustice, that type of diplomatic immunity begins to disappear rather quickly.”
“If the Gates Foundation is granted immunity again, to me, that would be a red flag of massive corruption.”

LIBERTY CITIES
Some recent legislative proposals could offer models for Freedom Cities.
One is a 2015 Texas bill that was intended to create “Liberty Cities”—a new type of municipality designed to have limited taxation, zero-based budgeting, and no zoning, among other free-market elements. The legislation would have incorporated rights to bear arms, free speech, public and private religious worship, and security from unreasonable searches and seizures into any “Liberty City.” It failed to make it out of committee.
James Quintero of the Texas Public Policy Foundation likened the Freedom Cities concept to Liberty Cities in an email to The Epoch Times.
“For Freedom Cities to truly succeed, proponents must limit federal interference that might result from coercive funding, regulatory favoritism, and corporate welfare. Government meddling is the great danger here.” - James Quintero

The Court’s decision will likely not be the final word on the CTA’s enforceability. To begin, the Court entered only a preliminary injunction, which it could theoretically reconsider at some point in the future. The more likely next step, however, is that the government will immediately appeal this decision to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. A further appeal could be taken to the United States Supreme Court. But unless a court specifically dissolves the Texas Top Cop Shop injunction, companies will not be required to comply with the CTA’s reporting requirements.
